We are so proud to have supported this innovative initiative, the creation of the first, small recycling center for plastic in the Cyclades, and specifically on Syros!
The team of Precious Plastic Greece created the 4 machines (shredder, extruder, injection and compresssion) and our local partners, the Social Enterprise for the Protection of Apano Meria Syrou, will now run the project, educate more people, including pupils and students, demonstrate the recycling center in local public events, festivals and exhibitions aiming to raise awareness about the plastic pollution but also encourage the public to reuse creatively their plastic before they finally recycle it.
Our hope is that more islands will follow this example and take active part in the direction of a sustainable solution and management of the bog amount of existing plastic in the Cyclades!
