Although the beautiful Aegean islands offer breath-taking experiences for the million of visitors every year, there are questions regarding the environmental governance, sustainability and the future of the natural environment of the area.
Despite the challenges and big pressures, we are confident that the Cycladic islands can preserve their natural environment and heritage whilst also maintaining itself as a global touristic destination. To this end, there is so much to do, and fortunately there are some highly determined individuals and groups on the ground addressing these challenges.
