As a donor, we regularly fund a wide variety of local initiatives taking place in the Cyclades. These are innovative and high-potential ones which contribute to the Cycladic environment and cultural identity preservation. We also provide networking and cooperation opportunities to locals, and offer capacity building to key actors, empowering local initiatives to blossom.

Through our triple role within Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), we aim to support environmental conservation and sustainability efforts in the Cyclades.

Grants criteria

WHO SHOULD APPLY

PROPOSALS

– Proposals should fit into one of CPF Areas of Interest and preferred types of projects:

1. Fieldwork: This type includes research, monitoring activities, conservation services, rehabilitation, restoration, signage, etc.

2. Community engagement: This type includes education and training activities, capacity building, public events and exhibitions, voluntary activities, etc.

3. Campaigns: This type includes information and awareness-raising campaigns, policy and advocacy work, call to actions and activism activities, etc.

4. Networking: This type includes exchanging and replication of best practices, study visits, bridging people, businesses, NGOs and associations etc.

5. Technical support: This type includes the provision of appropriate equipment, study development, consultancy, etc.

The proposed projects should be clear and compelling, aiming to create measurable and sustainable long-term results, build capacity and encourage participation of the local society. Ideally, the proposed activities shall be sufficiently visible to leverage additional support from other funding sources.

AREA OF IMPLEMENTATION

We encourage the implementation of the projects in different islands, small and big ones, in the Cyclades complex. Projects with opportunities for replicability will be prioritized.

When to apply

This year applications for grants will be accepted between 1/4/2024 and 30/4/2024.

The CPF aims to complete the evaluation of every proposal within around 3 months of its submission date unless circumstances require a longer evaluation period, based on a mutual agreement between the CPF and the applicant.

In case of approval by CPF Steering Committee members, the grantee will sign a Grant Agreement with specific terms of the collaboration.

CPF grant allocation: 50% in advance, 20% after the provision of an interim report and 30% after the provision and approval of the final project’s report.
